The ministry strives:

  • To provide opportunity for spiritual growth through a knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  • To fulfill all legal and ethical requirements set forth by the state.
  • To enhance self-esteem by developing a sense of acceptance and self worth.
  • To provide a healthy and secure living environment within the context of a Christian family setting.
  • To provide guidance and direction in areas of career, education and vocation.
  • To encourage abstinence from any substance, activity or behavior that is physically, spiritually or emotionally damaging.
  • To foster financial independence and security.
  • To inform young women concerning parenting and adoption options and encourage careful consideration of these options.
  • To teach parenting skills which include social skills, decision-making skills and stress management skills.
  • To foster responsibility and maturity necessary to maintain independent living and to develop a community support system.
  • To provide an opportunity for recreation, entertainment and creative self-expression.
  • To provide counsel to the young woman, her family, the birth father and his family.

Our purpose is to minister to pregnant and/or parenting young women.By the time a young women leaves our care, she will:

  • Have been encouraged to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through opportunities of Bible studies, family devotions, and attending church.
  • Have received a well-balanced diet and have been taught good nutritional habits through cooking, menu planning and grocery shopping.
  • Have appropriate clothing to ensure her physical well-being.
  • Have her physical needs met by having regular medical appointments to ensure good health.
  • Have made a decision concerning her child, which would provide a loving and stable environment for herself and her child.
  • Have addressed life issues and problems in her past through individual and family counseling.
  • Have grown in her relationship skills to interact more effectively with her family.
  • Have continued her education and received career counseling.
  • Have received instruction in parenting skills.
  • Have had experience in financial budgeting.
  • Have received instruction in life skills.
  • Have developed on-going appreciation and skills in arts and crafts.
  • Has learned to enjoy community outings.
  • Have developed a list of community resources that are appropriate to her needs.
  • Have departed into family structure or an independent life.
